Excellent update
Fine's Basic Chess Endings has been a classic since it was published in the 1940s and this update makes it even better. Not only has the book been converted to algebraic notation, but endgame expert Pal Benko has revised, corrected and expanded Fine's material. Fine's analysis is still excellent even though Fine did not have access to computer tools to check his analysis. The combination of Fine and Benko gives the reader access to two of the best players in this area. Definitely worth getting and using.
