I could never, never say a bad word about Burke! His books are well written but most important to me is the fact that his description of his beloved New Orleans is so vivid that you are there with him!!

Intro to Billy Bob Holland in Montana setting. Intriguing "bad guys" with Burke's excellent depictions of the area and the characterizations of the people. Good plot, references to ghosts may initially turn some readers off, but the author uses this technique to show the reasoning process of Billy Bob. Good action, hard to put down superb use of senses (scent, sound and visual) to color the storyline. Provided the impetus for me securing the next three Billy Bob Holland books and I have not been the least disappointed.
