Seller's Description:
Good. First edition. Boards a bit bowed, many pages dog-earred, a good copy without dustwrapper. From the library of the artists Ben Shahn and Bernarda Bryson Shahn, with an estate label designed by their son, Jonathan Shahn. Inscribed by the author: "For Bernarda Bryson Shahn, with all good wishes, Howard Greenfeld." In addition to one small note, Bernarda has written: "Please-i.e. please return to Bernarda & thank youse. BBS & Company." In 1998, Greenfeld wrote the biography "Ben Shahn: An Artist's Life*, the last major biography of the artist to appear. A nice association.
