Inscription signed by the editor: For Marcella Spann Booth-who with that special charm captivated Pound as she has the Seelyes-Cathie Seelye 9-13-76. Marcella Spann Booth was Ezra Pound's assistant in the late 1950s. As a student, she asked to meet Pound while he was incarcerated at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and later accompanied him to Italy with his family as his secretary. She later became a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Connecticut. Black cloth with dustjacket. Some minor persistent dustiness to the covers, firm binding, clean pages with a few scholarly notes in Booth's hand in the text. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [11.95] and has some minor edgewear and a trace of yellowing, no chips or tears. Inscribed by The Editor. First Edition. Hard Cover.
