One of Ms. Jones' first, it's an excellent novel, creative, and written from the unique point of view of a star punished to live on Earth in the body of a dog. She weaves in ancient mythology so well it made me begin my own research into Welsh myths, and the climactic cathartic scene is exactly what kids in the age group this was intended for love to read about. So much good about this story, always relevant, yes somehow delightfully 70's as well. Always recommend.

Wonderful book!
I have loved this book since I first read it, which was about eight years ago. I'm now in my early twenties and still adore it. It's a great fantasy book, the kind with vivid details and charming characters that allow you to feel as if you're right there in the story. I'd recommend it for all ages-from pre-teens to adults. I'm sure someday I'll pass it on to my own children.
