Like another reviewer said, this book starts off slowly, but it picks up by the end. It does have hooks in the beginning, but they are subtle.
Plus, I am an Arthurian fan, and this book does a good job of filling in the gaps of reading the other Arthurian books. This is especially true of the most recent movie.
So if you enjoy Knights of the round table than this book is a must read.
