A growing problem in American society
ACOAs constitute a larger segment of our society than people would like to believe. The problems they present, in a marriage, as a parent, are largely ignored in a society that seems focused on the alcoholic but not the problems created by the alcoholic in the home environment. ACOAs, who go untreated, tend to have problems all their lives that result from learned behaviors.
