Vaughny made a misleading statement in his review of Fevre Dream (Alibris ID: 9618474333), and I quote: "The above picture is misleading, as it is the cover art for the comic book version of Fevre Dream." However, it seems that same review is being used for at least 3 different editions of Fevre Dream, so the error may lie with Alibris. The Alibris ID above refers to the dust jacket of the first hardcover edition. Whereas I would highly recommend the hardcover edition, I would not do so re a paperback or comic book version of the book. Fevre Dream's a masterpiece - my opinion hasn't changed since I first read it when it was released in 1982.

The best vampire novel?
The above picture is misleading, as it is the cover art for the comic book version of Fevre Dream. Fevre Dream, the novel, is great not only because it gives a very different interpretation of "the vampire," but because it makes steamboats interesting, and gives them a haunting dreamscape to live in. Toward the end, I could not put it down. If anyone had tried to take it from me, I would've bitten them.
