I first read this book about 50 years ago and just found it again on Alibris. It's just as great as I remembered. Edna Ferber was always one of my favorite authors and I think this is one of her best. Dawn is a memorable young woman and kind of a role model for girls of today. Try it, you'll love it!!!!!
