the book was old but since it hasn't been in demand for many years, this is quite understandable; the book was in good condition, however.

An inspirational book!!
A friend gave me this book under one stipulation: that I read it in one sitting. That stipulation was unnecessary. This book is written in the first person by Og Mandino and describes his encounter with one Simon Potter. Mandino is a very successful writer/businessman at the top of his game while Potter is a humble, yet rugged, elderly gentleman who is a self-proclaimed "rag picker." The story is developed around the relationship that ensues after a happenstance meeting between the two. The true meaning of what a rap picker is and what the actual rags are provide for an inspirational introduction of "The God Memorandum." This memorandum is a reminder that we are all indeed a miracle of God with a purpose. The story is truly inspirational and The God Memorandum can be life-changing. I have given dozens of copies of this book away to family and friends. Since the book is written in the first person, a common question of many who have read it is, "is this really a true story?" A great book. A must read!!
