Students will generally attack a given equation from three different points of view to obtain an understanding of the solutions: qualitative, numeric, and analytic. Since many of the most important differential equations are nonlinear, students learn that numerical and qualitative techniques are more effective than analytic techniques in this setting. This book did its job in explaining the concept and keep thing simple. Usually student should read before class, but I did it the other way. Because I had a good lecture instructor, reading this book after the lecture was easy, and that's why I think this book is good and simple. Althought a new revision is coming, but I think the concept and about 95% of the content remain the same.
