To Prof. Henry Schwing the harmonization, in whole or in part, of every tune is due, and it is believed that this will be found to satisfy the reasonable criticism of those who have made a study of sacred music. While the melody has been invariably given to the s0prano, the harmony has been so treated as to give the other parts something to do, which would justify study and be pleasing to the singer.
