This is the first, comprehensive, book-length review of recent work on cognitive psychology of emotional disorders, many aspects of which (eg the effects of mood on memory) have attracted widespread interest. Much of the book is concerned with results obtained with objective, experimental paradigms that do not suffer from the methodological weaknesses of the self-report approaches on which most clinical research is based.
