The author approaches sketching in a sightly different way that I found helpful. I am recommending it because I feel it is worth it. Keep in mind that all books are hugely repetitive regardless of the author's efforts, so what is new here comes from his own perspective on sketching rather than exposing us to any new techniques.

I don't usually purchase such books as technique is so subjective and not much use to me persoanlly but having said that I found it a useful book to guide students I teach as it shows good basic skills of drawing and observation, and most importantly alternative ways of doing things. To learners, particularly in architecture, it is probably worth 5 stars.
