Compared to the other Black Dagger Brotherhood books, this one has the sweetest story and the less complicated. Some lines were really funny (in the beginning) and some really sad (in the end) but always really interesting and captivating. Rage and Mary are an irresistible couple, keeping the reader spellbound for hours. By the way, Bella's introduction was funny too however the end was really frustrating and i rushed to get the third book.
I can only recommand the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and in particular Lover Eternal, Lover Awakened and Lover Avenged and the other ones as well!!!

I don't know...
I was really disappointed. Being that I have read two other books of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, I was really looking forward to this one. Maybe it was me, but it just did not meet my expectations...other than the love story going on, I found it to be very boring.

J R Ward has done it again!!
This is the second book in JR Ward's new series. AWESOME, doesn't begin to describe this book!!
Essentially, Rhage's name is justified---the Scribe Virgin(the creator of this race of vamps) cursed Rhage with a beast. This beast lives as a tattoo on Rhage's back. When Rhage gets too juiced especially with rage the beast comes out and swallows everything. Mary, a human, is a couselor/teacher and is brought to the Brotherhood's compound----Rhage hears her voice and realizes she is to be his. He is given order to wipe her memory out, but refuses. When Rhage insists Mary remain at the mansion, he must pay a price for it. The down side is Mary has lukemia and is unable to bear children. Rhage insists he take care of her. He goes to the Scribe Virgin and asks her for help---as usual a price must be paid---but it all works out Rhage and Mary are definitely Lovers Eternal.
