Law in the South
Book begins in the 1920's with Will Lee's grandfather, Will Henry Lee becoming sheriff in a small Georgia town. It takes you through two more sheriff's during the war and after. The book not only delivers a well developed mystery around these three sheriff's, but also shows a very detailed view of the South, the effects of the Klan of the town. Also provides an interesting look at police procedure without all the whistles and bells available to them now.
