"One of the best romantic-suspense novelists."--Associated Press The ship and her captain were supposed to be her salvation, but they both may end up leaving her in deep water Anna Brett fears she's doomed to be a governess to an English family for the rest of her life. But when the dashing captain Redvers Stretton struts back into her life, she is whisked away from the bleak English countryside forever. But is that such a good thing? I read this book as a 10 year old, and reread it all through school. Now in my 40's I had to track down a copy --it was so worth it! After rereading it all these years later, I remember why it captured me way back then! It is a wonderful story line, and I am in the process of passing it around to all of my friends now --and I can't wait for it to come back to me to be reread again!
