D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths is an excellent survey of the great stories of Greek mythology. Though sanitized from the original myths and written for children, adults will find this book to be a great introduction to the gods of Mount Olympus. We learn about the Titans, the Olympians, Zeus and his family, Hercules, Jason and the Golden Fleece, and many other stories as well. Illustrations are on nearly every page and go a long way in enhancing the text. If you are looking for a good introduction to Greek mythology for your young reader or are simply looking for a highly readable survey of the Greek myths, you cannot go wrong with D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths.
