A signed etching by Michael Ayrton also numbered XXX of XXX laid in, titled "Mr Wyndham Lewis regarding, with distaste and rancour, the literary establishment of the 1930s". Originally written in 1936 but pulled by the then publishers Jonathan Cape for fear of libel because of Lewis's satire which was aimed at some very famous literary figures. Fine red cloth covers in a fine red matching publisher's slipcase. A beautiful copy!
