In teresting speakers on the UN R campus includ ed White House correspondent Helen Thomp son in September and USA Today publisher Cathy Black in November. Creating a foul smell in Manzanita Lake early in the semester was a fuel-oil spill by former Reno Mayor Sam Dibin tonto. As a result of changing weather, political ups and downs, and various activities on cam pus, the fall semester turned out to be an ex perience for all.
