Excerpt from The Geological and Natural History Survey of Minnesota: The Twenty-First Annual Report, for the Year 1892 All of the field work and part of the laboratory work for the preparation of this article was done while the writer was in the employ of the Geological and Natural History Survey of Min nesota. During the summer of 1891, while studying several granite areas in northeastern Minnesota, several days were de voted to the granite of Kekequabic lake, and again, in the sum mer of 1892, more time was employed in studying the rocks around this lake.
