An incredible story about a young girl and the strange boy who helps her fight an evil magician who has her little brother under a terrible spell. The story is something like a fairy tale and the characters are just as enchanting.
I truly love this book. I read it when I was in middle school and I still love it, even now. The characters are endearing, especially Sorensen, the strange and emotionally troubled young man who helps Laura save her brother.
The writing is very rich and everything just comes to life for the reader. The emotions of the character also run deep without having to go on for pages and pages about how someone feels. You truly get a sense of how much Sorensen and Laura come to care for each other as they get to know each other.
Really great read! I'd recommend this to anyone who loves a good mix of magic and romance.
