For Tess, a sophisticated city-girl who just wants to collect her cash and get back to L.A., it's a nightmare. For Lily, on the run from her abusive ex-husband, it's a refuge. And for Willa - who grew up on the ranch - it's an intrusion into her rightful home. They are sisters and strangers. Now they face a challenge: to put their bitterness aside and live like a family. Sisters of the West
This is a longish book. It has to be, interweaving three plots, three half-sisters, and of course three handsome young men, one for each sister. The father through whom the women are related has played a nasty joke by forcing them to live on his ranch together for a year in order to inherit a share of its worth. We move through a character development in which the three sisters slowly shed their antipathy for each other and the country of the big sky, and into a true relationship that is encompassed by the great West. The usual Roberts' sexual descriptions can get a bit boring, but the characters, after a slow beginning, prove likeable.

A Must-Read
I really have to admit, one really shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I found that it really dragged in the beginning, but it was worth it in the end. I didn't want it to end. This is definitely one of the best books that I've read this year.
