Atmospheric and Mesmerizing
In view of the vampire dramas in new books and television lately, this book is right on the mark, although written in the mid-90's. The architecture, history, and ghost stories of New Orleans intertwined with a scary family's dynasty make for exciting reading. I was a bit put off by the antics at the end, until then the strange recurring character of a ghosty gentleman seemed very realistic. However, the main characters in this love story are quite likeable.
