Despite the fact that I desperately love this series, and the fact that Max and the gang meet some new friends and kill some new enemies in this book with their usual wit, I was disappointed with The Final Warning. It seemed to me as if James Patterson wrote this book only to barf out a bunch of Global Warming propaganda. Seriously, it was probably half of the book, and it made me wonder whether Patterson was wrote this book as a joke or if he is just losing his touch. Or both, take your pick. Also, the rest of the series seems to just go downhill from this book on. I think I'd rather have the author come out and say "okay, I'm bored with this series now, I'm done" than chuck out this half-filled can of beans.

Another great read
The story continues as Patterson further develops these delightful flying-children characters. (When are the folks in Hollywood going to take notice and start making some great movies based on these awesome stories?) This book was a little different from the others, a minimal change I appreciate in a series with so many books. I loved this one and can't wait to get the next book in the series!
