I finished this book rather quickly simply because I had to know how the story would end. It was well written as the author actually gets into the head of the main character, Abby who has accidently lost her fiancee's daughter. It makes you imagine how one quick fast move, in this case, looking away for a minute, can change your views on life and love and turn your life into one of obsession and desperation. How quickly love can turn into resentment. I would recommend it to someone who does not have a small child at the time of reading, because it may be too emotional for a new mother.

SAN FRANCISCO FOG
THIS NOVEL DOES A GOOD JOB OF USING ACTUAL FOG AND ALSO MENTAL FOG TO TELL THE STORY OF A STEPMOTHER TO BE WHO LOSES HER FIANCEE'S CHILD ONE DAY WHILE WALKING ON A BEACH IN SAN FRANCISCO. THE AUTHOR SPENDS A LOT OF TIME RECOUNTING WHAT THIS WOMAN FEELS AND THINKS. ALMOST TOO MUCH TIME. I ALMOST PUT THE BOOK DOWN HALF WAY THROUGH BUT I AM GLAD I DID NOT . THE SECOND HALF OF THE BOOK PICKS UP THE PACE TO A SATISFYING CONCLUSION. THE CONCLUSION WAS A LITTLE FAR FETCHED BUT I LIKED IT ANYWAY.
