This is about a relationship between a research biologist/ornithologist and her various birds over the years. It gives great insight to parrot behavior but also to the behavior in general of other animals. If you're looking for some clue as to why a parrot does something, this is definitely a winner. She talks about parrots in the wild as well as parrots living in homes.

One of the warmest, friendliest books I have read in quite sometime. Know it sounds corney, but once I picked the book up and started to read it I could not put it down. In fact I started reading it as a borrowed book and had to leave it behind after just starting it. That is when I searched it out thru Alibris for my own copy. If you are into nature subjects this one will captivate you. You fall in love with both the parrot and the author.
