This is a book that even people who hate the vampire chronicles will have to read because of the description of Ancient Roman and the way that life was when Rome ruled the world. This tells you everything that you would like to know about Marius and also tells you about his love Pandora. Marius is an eccentric painter and a host to grand parties in society. I truly loved this book and everything that was in it. I hope that everyone will read this book to understand how the world can change almost instantly and than take hundreds of years to catch up. If you want to know about his care of the Queen and what really happened and how he endured you have to pick this up.
