The requirements deduced from the discussion Vocal Music in the Elementary Schools, pp. Vii to xiii, form the basis of the New Educational Music Course. In the present volume, pp. I to 58 contain rote songs and voice drills; pp. 62 to 215, all material of the First Music Reader, together with suggestions to teachers, pp. 217 to 262, an Appendix, - a collection of songs from the great composers, arranged and adapted for children.
