The story of the Amulet involves four siblings that have been in other books by Nesbit. It is an adventiure story involing an enchanted amulet which will grant wishes. The children found only half the amulet and therefore cannot make many wishes until the amulet is whole again. The Children travel back in time with an old friend to find the other half of the charm. It is a delightful book. The dialog keeps your attention as does the plot, which of course has many twisits and turns. I would highly recomend this book and all of Nesbits books if you are a fan of comedy, adventure, action and mystery.
