I have watched the move several time & wanted to read the book.I'm one that would like to think that time travel like this could really happen. How wounderful & dangerous this could be.I would be the first in line if there was a proven way to time travel. If you think like I do then this is the book & movie you must watch.I love Somewhere In Time.

Somewhere in Time
I was very suprised when I found out that the person who wrote the story that inspired the movies; Legend and Omega Man was also the same person who wrote Somewhere in Time. The stories have very different plots but the voice is very much the same.
Matheson's novel takes you to another place and another time.

Love Transcends Time
This book, originally entitled "Bid Time Return," was the basis for the movie, Somewhere in Time, starring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve. Although the storylines between the book and movie are similar, there are marked differences, i.e., location, and most importantly, the main character's (Richard) health, both mentally and physically. Both plots have Richard travelling back in time after falling in love with a woman in a photograph he discovers in an old, famous hotel. His research had revealed that the woman, Elise McKenna, was a famous actress of the early 20th century, but was deceased in Richard's present time. This book is an enjoyable read for those who like romance and the possibility of time travel, and also for those who are fans of the movie -- it offers different insights into the characters' personalities.
