But a water-line prevents this am biguity 5 and to the height of the mountain even adds the edging at the bottom, which naturally belongs, not to It. Thus the moun tain of Doniquaick, - feen from the new Inn at Inverary, appears as if It rofe from the water's edge, tho in fact the duke of Argyle's lawn intervenes, all which the mountain ap propriates: and tho it meafures only eight hundred and thirty - five feet, it has a more refpe�'cable appearance, than many mountains Of twiceit's height unconnected with, water.
