Henry V & Agincourt
While this story has been told many times before, this is an excellent book, and a good read no matter if you are interested in history or not. It starts with the training and experiences that his father forced young Harry into. Hard lessons learned that would mold his thinking and form his friendships and these in turn would serve him throug... hout his kingship. While Agincourt was a seminal event. Henry's abilities were honed well before it and all his experiences led him to this event. The French ability to underestimate their English opponents led them into a terrible battle, that they should have won. But God, luck, the weather and the French all played their part in this, as if scripted by King Henry. While Will Shakespear had the words, Henry had the skill and action to carry it off. Read this book and learn about the man, his world and the actions that changed the course of kingdoms.
