The story -line looked interesting but, alas, the book didn't live up to expectations. I had the impression I was reading the script for the latest all-action block-buster movie and not a gripping mystery. To make matters worse, I found the quality of the writing poor ( "Nausea churned in his stomach"/"Terror slammed him"/"It was déja-vu all over again".....for example - to say nothing of the number of times "sweat dripped from his armpits") Dan Brown or Tom Wolfe would have done a better job!
