Elders and others are shown in regalia that dates back to the last century, in pow wow dress, wearing skins, antler horns, wolf heads, ferns, and bark. It also contains a history of the Iroquois and a description of the people photographed, including tribe, clan, native name, and traditional position. The lyrics of Robbie Robertson, a member of Six Nations Reserve and the famous lead guitarist of The Band, adorn the text.
