In the decades of its first publication, LOLITA has emerged as a classic of contemporary literature. Poet and pervert, Humbert becomes obsessedby twelve year old Lolita and seeks to possess her, first carnally and then artistically, out of love. This was a great book. I gave it 4 stars because is was somewhere between good and excellent. It was a little hard to follow at times because some of the words were a little over my head, Keep a dictionary handy.

Beautiful copy
Lolita should be in hardcover, and the one I purchased here was in excellent shape.

This book is probably one of the best I have ever read. Unlike most books, the so called bad guy gives you his point of view on his love for nymphs like Dolores Haze. It's an excellent read if you like psychological books and are willing to steep through the mind of a pedophile.

Classic
Deep insights into the mind of a pedophile.
No wonder we never could find it when we were young.

love at first sight
You will fall in love with this book after the first chapter. Really after the first sentence, if you're like me. Wonderful read, fantastical subject, poetic, smooth. My favorite book of all time.
