Our reading group chose this book for March. Luckily that is a long month. For me it was a slog from start to finish--in sips or in gulps. I wouldn't have finished the book had it not been assigned. None of the protagonists was someone I would want to meet or to know any more about. The multiple silly characters were confusing and tiresome. Though the author has a good eye for details, that was not enough to make this even a fair read. The title was far and away its most engaging aspect.
