Very thorough introduction to algebra. Helpful that you are able to solve problems directly in the developmental paperback series book.

OUTSTANDING
This is the best math self-teaching book I've ever come across. It is extremely well-written and also well-designed allowing for little confusion and lots of room to relax and learn. The text is color coded to make it easy to follow, with highlighted boxes giving definitions and rules to refer back to if you need help. There are columns on the side of the page to help you try problems and follow along, with answers at the bottom of that column for quick feedback. This book is filled with stepped examples of each concept being taught, along with blue writing next to each step such as "distributive property" or -a = -1 (a) in case you don't understand why something in the problem was done a certain way.
I can't say enough praises for this incredible book. It is like having a teacher sitting next to you while you work the problems. In the end of section problems, the odd numbered problems have the answers in the back of the book. If you need a book to refresh your high school math skills or learn something you never learned, this is an exceptionally well-written and designed book that you would find enjoyable to use.
