The book has strong emphasis on the development process in terms of children's and parents' growth as complex individuals, and in the changing nature of their relationships over time. Because parents and children are distinct individuals, the book includes a problem-solving approach that can help parents arrive at solutions that fit them, their children, and their life circumstances. Not that Great
I found this text disorganized and all over the place. The information, although interesting with empirical research, failed to deliver what is expected in a psychology parenting text. After ready this text, I could not say whether is great, or it stinks. It read more like an amalgamation of clinical psychology, main stream motivation psychology, and tips from Suzie home maker. These mixture made the text seem appealing, but the material was not organized.
