I was recommended this book by my lecturer at Plymouth University to accompany my database development module. I have to say it's fantastic. Whichever edition you get the basics for modelling a system are very easy to follow and explains things beyond what you might need to learn if you are just starting to study database development. I would recommend this book to all of my colleagues and anyone else out there that is studying or about to study database development.
