Easy read. Fun characters. Little bit of a mystery (who done it?) in the final chapters. I needed something not to heavy and not to weighed down with sadness and "oh woe is me." The auther approached life with a sense of humor.

Nice mix of mystery and information
Lost and Found is a very quick read with interesting characters. The main character, Rocky, is dealing with the death of her husband by escaping her life as a psychologist. In her effort to escape, she encounters a former minister, who the reader does not get to know all that well, an anorexic teen ager who hates the main character, an accomplished bow hunter, and a lady with synesthesia, a condition I had never heard about before reading this book.
The devolopment of the book centers around trying to find out about a dog that was injured by an arrow, including what happened to his former owner. Everything comes together at the end of the book in a fairly action packed section. The rest of the book deals more with character development and interactons than action.
Some strange aspects of this book are the dog gets his own point of view in a few of the chapters, and there is one place where the same action is played out twice in two different chapters from the point of view of two different characters. I just thought it was odd that she did that only one time.
Overall, the book was very enjoyable and I learned some things about synesthesia, archery, anorexia, and psychology. A word of caution, since the book is less than 300 pages, the reader doesn't learn a great deal about any of these topics but there is enough to make things interesting.
