This book is for young people, but it is informative, and can be enjoyed by all. The photos are nice, and the story is readable. The author tells that minorities like blacks & Indians who were part of the fair were not treated very well (a modern touch). For more detail, there are other books, but this one is a good start. At the fair, the newfangled "horseless carriages" (automobiles) were seen, often for the first time by rural Americans (tho they not pictured in this book, as I would have liked).
