Probably the funniest book I have read in years, so funny I read it aloud to my husband, who loved it!. It reminded us both of Dylan Thomas' story 'A child's Christmas in Wales', and also of P. G. Wodehouse's novels. Helen Cresswell writes wonderful books for all ages.
