I had lost my first edition of Gorky Park, a copy I bought back in 1981 after reading a favorable review. I was not disappointed, and Ardady Renko remains one of my favorite detective series' characters and Martin Cruz Smith one of my favorite authors. I was going to a book signing for his latest Renko book, Tatiana, and I found a first edition Gorky Park to bring along through the magic of Alibris. Mr Smith was kind enough to sign it for me. I will treasure it. Thank you Alibris.

A true classic!
What a book! This story stands to be a classic. This first book about Arkady Renko sparks the start of what may be one of the best fictional creation I've come across. A definite collector's treasure!
