VG+ (both volumes have smudges, scuffing & scratching to wraps & cloth. lower corner of vol1 has a small chip to glossy veneer. vol2 has a light discolored spot near spine on lower textblock; does not appear to affect pgs. both volumes clean. clamshell... Oblong, black cloth clamshell case w/ illustration. vol1: oblong, black wrappers w/ illustration & gilt printing; 175 pgs w/ color illustrations. vol2: oblong, black cloth boards w/ illustration & gilt printing; marbled pastedowns & endpapers; approx 192 color plates. Appears to be lightly handled copy. Softcover and clamshell have some scuffs, scratches and minor rubbing. Hardcover plates are a facsimile of the manuscript and have a variety of smudges, foxing, ect that are reproduced from the original. Volume One is parallel English, French and German. It discusses the history of the manuscript and then translates each plate/folio. Volume two is the manuscript beautifully reproduced. Another lavish Taschen Edition.

Near Fine in Very Good + jacket. Book is in a large pictorial clamshell case. The case itself is in Very Good condition with a very minor 1/4 inch scrape to cover photo. The back of the case has an illustration, unmarked. Case contains a paperback book in German and French describing the illustrations. It also contains the hardcover Book of Miracles with the original plates. Pages are clean, no markings from previous owners. Boards are clean and square. Binding is tight. Text block is clean.
