Near Fine in Fine jacket. First edition. Cloth with a couple of spots along the topedge, final 25 or so pages with a tiny faint stain in the upper margin, near fine in a very lightly tanned fine dust jacket. Nicely Inscribed on the title page: "For George-with thanks for carrying part of the burden-Love, Billy 12.10/77." Laid in are two different promotional postcards for the book, one addressed to poet and art critic Peter Schjeldahl (and stamped return to sender; each with offsetting from a newspaper clipping that was laid in). An interesting copy.
