Well illustrated with black-and-white photos, and an extensive text written by a noted art critic. Known as a street photographer, her life is a bit opaque. Augments the exhibition that ran from October 5, 1990 through January 6, 1991 at the National Gallery of Canada and that then traveled to five other locations for additional dates. Text by Ann Thomas in French. Includes over 180 black-and-white images of jazz musicians and bathers, prostitutes and gambler, other photographers and large women. Quite arresting.
