Seller's Description:
VG/VG, previous owners stamp inside and beautiful copy. Tan cloth with glossy, color-illustrated dustjacket. 223 pp., 93 color and 264 bw plates. Contents are complete, clean and sound. Bottom edges worn, dj is crinkled, with shadow of spine label. 357 illustrations, including 93 color plates. The authors, experts from the Christies' auction house, have used examples from auction catalogues. Essays deal with history and various techniques of design and manufacture. A section at the rear provides careful drawings of the many types of signatures used at the factory over decades of production. An essential and often used reference. Duncan's book is not definitive but as the book was withdrawn from the market shortly after publication, it has taken on a "collectible" life of its own in the art glass and book community. Very close to a catalogue raisonne. This description does incorporate information gleaned from other's writings, for which I am grateful.
