Court Rossman first saw and built water bottle rockets, as an adult, while helping with Cub Scouts. It seemed like a great introduction to hand's-on rocket building. He was impressed that there was a basic rocket to demonstrate the concept, and that the kids could build it themselves. Court certainly learned himself as a volunteer from doing the activity. Court is participating in the emphasis on hands-on learning. Science kits are readily available these days, and that is great. He just wants to help that trend, so the next generation has practical knowledge and creativity. Court has also published 'Scout Pinewood Derby Cars and Real Cars', and 'Water Bottle Rockets'. Court has a life-long interest in physics and science, and has a Ph.D. in physics, and works on rocket sensors through his day job. See less
