Rosemary Makhan

Makhan grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada, where she learned the basics of quiltmaking from her mother. She majored in home economics at Nova Scotia Teachers College and at Acadia University. She taught high school family studies for several years. She taught adult education classes, becoming the founding president of the Halton Quilters Guild in 1977. She continues to teach many quiltmaking classes and workshops.
